Job Description and Requirements

You Are:

You're an aerospace systems engineer who's energized by solving complex, mission-critical challenges-and you want your work to make an impact where it truly matters.

You thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and enjoy working alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions for Aerospace & Defense and Intelligence customers. Whether translating technical requirements into actionable strategies or guiding customers through advanced tools and workflows, you bring both technical depth and real-world problem-solving ability.

You have a strong foundation in engineering, physics, or computer science, and you're excited by cutting-edge capabilities such as Digital Mission Engineering (DME), simulation, and model-based systems engineering. Just as importantly, you understand how to apply these tools to real customer challenges.

Beyond your technical expertise, you're a strong communicator who can build trust with a wide range of stakeholders-from engineers to executive leadership. You're comfortable taking the lead in technical discussions, advising customers, and helping teams modernize and optimize their engineering approaches.

You're self-motivated, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities without losing focus. You approach problems analytically, adapt quickly to new technologies, and continuously look for ways to improve outcomes-for your team and your customers.

Most importantly, you're motivated by the opportunity to contribute to high-impact, mission-driven work and to help shape the future of aerospace systems and defense technology.

This position is based in Chantilly, VA or Exton, PA and it requires compliance with U.S. government security and/or access requirements. As a result, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this position.

What You'll Be Doing:

* Lead and assist in coordinating and executing all technical activities throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle, including technical discovery, product presentations, demonstrations, evaluations, and ongoing post-sales support.

* Provide technical leadership and guidance on Ansys product offerings to increase sales opportunities and customer adoption.

* Work closely with customers to understand their system-level engineering requirements, analyze solutions using Ansys DME products (STK, ODTK, etc.), and articulate the value proposition.

* Develop and implement holistic system-level solutions by integrating technologies such as model-based systems engineering, digital mission engineering, and core physics analysis.

* Collaborate with the Account team, ACE teams, and customers to integrate high-fidelity analytical models into system-level workflows.

* Support product development by translating customer feedback into new features, assist in designing feature implementation requirements, and testing product releases on real-world problems.

* Partner with sales teams to strategize and execute approaches that maximize sales objectives and customer satisfaction, execute consulting services, and teach training classes.

* Design and develop programming user interfaces, automation scripts, and integration code to support customer applications.

* Work onsite 3 days a week with customers to implement best practices and solve real-world engineering problems.

* Contribute to field and digital marketing efforts, author conference presentations, and support business development initiatives.

The Impact You Will Have:

* Accelerate adoption of advanced Digital Mission Engineering tools within key aerospace and defense organizations.

* Empower customers to solve complex mission-critical problems using industry-leading simulation and analysis software.

* Drive growth and expansion of Ansys solutions, directly contributing to team sales and business development goals.

* Enhance the integration of high-fidelity analytical models into customer workflows, improving accuracy and efficiency.

* Shape future product features and innovations by translating customer needs into actionable feedback for development teams.

* Foster long-term customer relationships through exceptional support, consulting, and training, ensuring ongoing success and satisfaction.

* Advance the state-of-the-art in aerospace and defense engineering by promoting best practices and innovative solutions.

What You'll Need:

* BS or MS in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.

* Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in an engineering software environment.

* Hands-on experience with Ansys software or other engineering tools (mission simulation (STK, ODTK), MSBE, optimization, CAD).

* Programming proficiency in one or more languages (C, C++, C#, Java, MATLAB, Python, or scripting languages).

* Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver technical presentations and training sessions.

* Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

* Ability to travel domestically up to 25%.

* Eligibility for or possession of DoD TS/SCI Clearances (active clearance strongly preferred).

Who You Are:

* Logical problem solver with strong analytical thinking.

* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in written and spoken English.

* Self-motivated and driven to succeed in a timeline-driven, dynamic environment.

* Professional demeanor and business acumen, projecting confidence and credibility.

* Collaborative team player, comfortable working across departments and with diverse stakeholders.

* Adaptable, resourceful, and eager to learn new technologies and approaches.
