Responsibilities include consuming and publishing Kafka events, troubleshooting integration issues, supporting schema validation, monitoring event processing, and assisting with the migration to AWS Managed Streaming for Kafka (MSK). The role includes working with cloud infrastructure, Oracle databases, and enterprise APIs to ensure reliable and secure data exchange between FLAG and external partner systems.
  • The developer will collaborate with technical teams to onboard new partner agencies, implement API integrations, support identity federation and secure authentication, maintain system documentation, participate in code reviews, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and support security, compliance, and Authority to Operate (ATO) activities.

Experience working with Apache Kafka or similar messaging technologies is highly desirable, including publishing and consuming events through APIs or messaging services. Experience with AWS cloud services, Git, CI/CD pipelines, Agile development, and API security using OAuth or JWT is preferred.
