The Opportunity:

  • Lead and manage antenna test operations in spherical near-field and far-field measurement ranges that support critical RF/antenna development programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on multiple fast-paced projects and activities focused on advanced RF and antenna systems.
  • Contribute to the fabrication and assembly of prototype RF systems and antennas.
  • Manage daily operations of spherical near-field and rectangular far-field antenna test ranges, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control.
  • Lead and mentor a team of antenna integration and test specialists, providing technical guidance and performance management.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute the measurement of advanced antenna solutions such as dual reflector systems and phased arrays.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on spherical near-field ranges, far-field ranges, and associated RF test equipment.
  • Work with RF/antenna engineers to develop test plans and procedures.
  • Conduct tests, document results, and provide technical reports to engineering teams.
  • Ensure safe operation of test facilities and compliance with all safety protocols.
  • Manage test equipment inventory and calibration schedules.
  • Work independently to complete individual tasks while seamlessly collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.


Qualifications:

Required: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent with significant hands-on technical experience, or Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, RF technology, or related field, or Equivalent combination of military training and technical experience
  • 15+ years of combined technical and management experience in antenna testing, RF measurements, antenna/RF system integration and assembly, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience managing technicians or technical teams.
  • Hands-on experience operating and maintaining spherical near-field antenna ranges.
  • Experience with far-field antenna range operations and maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience with phased array antenna testing.
  • Hands-on experience with network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and power meters.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Knowledge of antenna measurement techniques and RF test procedures.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain complex RF test systems and measurement ranges.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, self-starting, ready to go above and beyond.
  • Ability to work on multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously.


Desired:

  • Understanding of spherical near-field range theory, calibration procedures, and advanced measurement techniques.
  • Experience with compact range or other antenna measurement facilities.
  • Familiarity with measurement automation using MATLAB, Python, or similar scripting languages.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
