Full Job Description
The Opportunity:

As the Analyst, Private Debt, you will support the efforts of the underwriting and portfolio management team in conducting due diligence, maintaining related checklists, and compiling related investment memos for private debt transactions.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Conducting financial and industry analysis to support the evaluation of incoming credit opportunities
  • Playing an active role in operational and financial due diligence for prospective borrowers, both before and after term sheet execution
  • Keeping portfolio management dashboards current and accurate, managing all related data inputs and outputs
  • Organizing and maintaining due diligence checklists and data rooms across active pipeline deals
  • Building and reviewing financial models for both new and existing borrowers
  • Engaging directly with borrower management teams throughout the underwriting process and ongoing lending relationship
  • Preparing credit memos that present findings and recommendations to senior leadership for approval
  • Monitoring sector trends, industry dynamics, and regional risk factors across North American and European markets


What You'll Need To Be Successful:

  • A post-secondary degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with sharp analytical instincts
  • Hands-on experience applying AI tools and platforms in a professional setting, with the ability to write effective prompts
  • Clear and confident communicator - both in writing and in person
  • Familiarity with lending structures, security arrangements, and due diligence best practices
  • Equally comfortable working independently and contributing as part of a close-knit team
  • Experience with VBA, SQL, or Python is a plus
  • Awareness of ESG considerations in an investment context is an added bonus

Compensation Range: $80,000 - $120,000 base salary
