Job Description:
TD Securities provides a wide range of capital markets products and services to corporate, government, andinstitutional clients who choose us for our knowledge, innovation, and experience across key areas of finance, including Investment and Corporate Banking, Capital Markets, Interest Rates, Foreign Exchange, Equities, and Derivatives. TD Securities serves clients globally through the underwriting and distribution of new debt and equity issuances, advising on strategic acquisitions and divestitures, and providing execution and risk management solutions across a broad range of trading and investment activities.
The Equity Options Trading team is part of Global Equity Derivatives (GED) within the TD Securities Global Markets Sales & Trading business. The team serves Canadian, US, and international clients, including pension funds, asset managers, ETF providers, hedge funds and retail investment advisors.
The team specializes in Canadian OTC and listed options on single stocks, ETFs, and indices with maturities ranging from same-day expiry to 10 years.
The Analyst/Associate will support the growth of the Equity Options platform through involvement in trading strategy development, portfolio risk management, client facilitation, content creation, infrastructure enhancement, and data analytics. The successful candidate will operate within the GED-specific risk limits and policies, in the context of the wider TD Top of the House Risk Appetite and the prevailing Regulatory Framework.
Job Requirements
Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Support the development and implementation of options trading, hedging, and market-making strategies.
- Execute and book trades accurately and efficiently while adhering to established operational and risk controls
- Assist in the monitoring and management of portfolio risk
- Contribute to the enhancement of trading infrastructure, workflows, analytics, and automation capabilities
- Partner with sales to identify client opportunities and synergistic trade ideas to grow desk PnL
- Collaborate across GED and the broader dealer to identify and execute on business growth opportunities
- Maintain strict adherence to all regulatory requirements, internal policies, risk limits, and operational procedures
Education & Experience
- Undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or other quantitative discipline
- Applicable industry experience preferred
- Computer programming and database functionality skills
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Detail oriented and able to work under pressure, establish priorities and multi-task
- Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment
