The primary purpose of this position is to exercise technical and administrative supervision over subordinate supervisors and workers in accomplishing trades and labor work in Post Dock of the 564th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. Position will be on a rotational basis as needed to support workload. This is a 2nd level supervisory position.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1. Knowledge of a wide range of principles, processes, and techniques of trade(s) and/or craft(s) supervised and personnel management policies, practices, and procedures, including sexual harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity/ Equal Employment Treatment.

2. Knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures.

3. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and technical specifications.

4. Ability to plan and organize work assignments to include determining resources required to accomplish mission.

5. Ability to manage overall direction and coordination of subordinate work activities and functions and implement sound personnel policies, practices, and procedures through one or more levels of subordinate supervisors.

6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Additional Position Requirements:

1. The work may require the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license may be required for the position.

2. This is a drug testing position. Incumbent may be subject to random drug testing.

3. Establishes and promotes a continuing security program and is constantly alert for any irregular security practices, taking immediate corrective action as needed.

4. Gives technical and management support to all emergency work requirements, such as compression of production schedules, priority aircraft and dispatching maintenance team members in support of the BWP.

5. May be required, at the convenience of the government to perform temporary duty to contractor facilities or other Air Force installations for special projects, conferences or training, by military or commercial air transportation and to utilize government furnished quarters and messes when available. May be required to travel IAW JTR

6. May be required to work rotating shifts; dayshift, swing shift or grave shift.

7. Comprehensive knowledge of industrial production processes including production planning, scheduling, and material storage/distribution, as well as production material and methods.

8. Working knowledge of aircraft depot maintenance operations, concepts, practices, and techniques critical to repair, manufacturing, and modifications of major weapons systems and components.
