STS Technical Services is seeking Aircraft Maintenance Controller for a direct hire opportunity with a U.S.-based commercial airline in Denver, Colorado. This full-time role offers relocation assistance and places you at the center of real-time aircraft maintenance decision making.

Position Overview

As a Maintenance Controller, you will oversee daily aircraft maintenance activities, provide real-time technical guidance, and coordinate across departments to ensure aircraft readiness, safety, and regulatory compliance. This role is critical to maintaining smooth and efficient flight operations.

Job Location and Details

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and support aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures
  • Provide real-time troubleshooting and technical guidance to line maintenance teams
  • Authorize MEL and CDL deferrals and determine appropriate repair actions
  • Coordinate with Maintenance, Engineering, Materials, and the System Operations Center to manage out-of-service aircraft
  • Route aircraft to support operational and maintenance requirements
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to delays, cancellations, and mechanical discrepancies
  • Log shift activity and ensure clear communication during shift handovers
  • Maintain awareness of fleet-wide mechanical readiness at all times
  • Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and accountability in every maintenance decision

Required Qualifications
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant License
  • Minimum five years of line maintenance experience or a combination of line, heavy maintenance, and avionics troubleshooting experience
  • Strong working knowledge of FAA regulations and maintenance control procedures
  • Clear and effective communication and decision-making skills
  • Completion of Maintenance Training Required Inspection Item course (Vol. D) required post-hire

Preferred Qualifications
  • Five years of line maintenance experience on Airbus A319 or A320 family aircraft
  • Previous Maintenance Control or Maintenance Coordination Center experience
  • FCC First Class Radio Telephone Certificate

Compensation and Benefits
  • Union position with starting pay of $52.00 per hour
