Job Summary
The AIPowered Power BI Engineer is responsible for leveraging Artificial Intelligence AI Microsoft Copilot Large Language Models LLMs and modern analytics platforms to rapidly design develop and maintain Power BI reports dashboards and analytical solutions
This role combines expertise in Power BI data modeling DAX and AIassisted development to transform business requirements into executiveready reporting solutions with significantly reduced development effort and improved business insight generation The engineer acts as both a Power BI developer and an AI workflow orchestrator using AI tools to automate report creation documentation testing visualization design and narrative insight generation
Key Responsibilities
1 AIDriven Report Development 30
Use Microsoft Copilot Power BI Copilot ChatGPT Claude and other approved AI tools to generate report prototypes dashboard layouts DAX formulas KPIs and visualization recommendations
Translate business requirements into Power BI reports using prompt engineering and AIassisted design techniques
Automate dashboard creation report documentation and metadata generation
Utilize AI to identify reporting opportunities trends anomalies and predictive insights
2 Power BI Dashboard Engineering 25
Design develop and deploy executive operational and analytical dashboards
Create reusable reporting templates and visualization standards
Build interactive scorecards KPI dashboards and selfservice BI solutions
Deliver modern user experiences focused on business decisionmaking
3 Semantic Modeling Analytics 15
Design and maintain Power BI semantic models
Develop advanced DAX calculations measures and KPIs
Implement dimensional models using star and snowflake schemas
Optimize datasets for performance and scalability
4 Data Integration Automation 10
Connect Power BI to AWS Azure DataHub Snowflake SQL Server Oracle and other enterprise data sources
Develop automated data ingestion transformation and reporting pipelines
Leverage Python SQL Power Automate and Fabric capabilities to automate reporting processes
5 AI Insights Business Storytelling 10
Utilize AI capabilities to generate narrative insights and executive summaries
Develop natural language query NLQ solutions
Enable business users to interact with data using conversational analytics
Create automated insight generation capabilities within Power BI
6 Governance Security Quality 10
Implement RowLevel Security RLS data governance and lineage tracking
Ensure compliance with enterprise reporting standards
Validate AIgenerated outputs for accuracy and business relevance
Establish AI governance practices for reporting solutions
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Data Analytics Engineering or equivalent experience
Experience
5 years of Power BI development experience
2 years of practical experience leveraging AI technologies in analytics or software development
Experience developing enterprisescale dashboards and reporting platforms
Experience working with cloud data platforms AWS Azure Microsoft Fabric
