Full Job Description
We are seeking an AI Prompt Engineer to be the builder behind our "AI-First" transformation. You will be part of the Business Technology AI Engineering team, building production-grade AI solutions using tools like the Appian AI platform, Gemini, Kiro, and more. You will partner closely with stakeholders across every department to turn requirements into measured, reusable, on-the-shelf solutions for internal Appian employees to use every day. Key Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain production-quality prompts, Gemini Gems, NotebookLMs, Appian AI workflows, for production-grade use internally at the company. - Break down manual tasks into AI-assisted steps, seeing solutions from development through deployment with non-technical customers in mind. - Establish an evaluation framework to ensure reliability and compare model performance for business tasks. - Own, version, and organize the internal repository for employee self-service prompts, ensuring all shipped tools are documented and discoverable. - Serve as the resident expert on Google Gemini, Amazon Kiro, and what's on the horizon for AI technologies-you'll stay ahead of the feature curve for the organization. - Collaborating with IT and Information Security to red-team tools and ensure all prompts follow data-handling and protocols. Required Skills & Qualifications - 3-5+ years of hands-on experience with modern LLMs and shipping AI agents in real-world applications, or equivalent experiences in a high-growth SaaS or technology environment - Subject-matter-expertise of Google Gemini ecosystem, Amazon Kiro, and other industry-standard tools. Direct experience with prompting and building automation workflows. - Comfort with scripting to wire data sources and automate workflow components. Strong technical aptitude to understand integrating varying systems into AI solutions. - Exceptional communication skills, especially in communicating technical concepts to less technical audiences.
