Full Job Description
The AI GTM team works with a cross-functional pod to accelerate Plaid's footprint in AI. Our goal is to sell into and partner with AI companies of all sizes, from the largest model companies to small startups. This team works cross functionally, internally and externally, to ensure Plaid is the financial and identity provider of choice for AI companies; while also working closely with product and engineering to future proof our product set in an AI-driven ecosystem.

In this role, you will serve as a critical link between our GTM teams (across sales, account management and partnerships), our product team, and the external AI market. You will be responsible for operationalizing our AI strategy, helping us win key deals, and ensuring our roadmap reflects the needs of our current customers and partners.

Responsibilities
  • 1. GTM Execution & Commercial Support
    • Support on Strategic Deals: Work closely with the AI GTM Lead and relevant stakeholders to engage with high-value prospects, existing customers, and partners. You will help articulate our AI narrative, AI in Plaid products, and consult customers on AI use in their products.
    • Drive Revenue Opportunities: collaborate with Account Managers (AMs), Account Executives (AEs), and Partnerships AEs to navigate and close revenue deals with AI-native companies.
    • Deal Support: Act as the subject matter expert on calls, helping to unblock deals and provide technical or strategic context to customers.

    2. Product Strategy & Roadmap Influence
    • The "Voice of the Customer": Systematically gather and synthesize customer feedback to influence the AI technical roadmap. You will be the bridge bringing market realities to the Product and Engineering teams.
    • Market Intelligence: Monitor and report on trends in the AI space to the AI GTM Pod, and across Plaid as needed.
    • Investment Areas: From customer feedback, industry work, and other intel, you will articulate a POV on what Plaid needs to build and invest in to be AI-Native and best serve our customers. You will work with the AI Applications Engineering and PM teams to formulate investment areas and scope potential "co-builds" that benefit our AI customers.

    3. Ecosystem, Brand & Content
    • External Presence: Represent the brand at in-person AI events, including conferences, panels, and networking mixers to expand our footprint in the AI community.
    • Support Content and Events: Support the Marketing team with feedback on written content, AI Events, webinars, developer guides, case studies, and internal enablement updates.
    • Sales Enablement: Build and refine sales playbooks on AI use cases for the AI Pod and broader Plaid.

Qualifications
  • Relevant Experience: 6+ years of experience in GTM (AE, AM, Partnerships), Strategy, Product Marketing, Sales Engineering, preferably within B2B
  • AI Fluency: Have a solid understanding of the current AI landscape (LLMs, Agents, MCPs, etc) and can articulate how these technologies impact our customers and partners.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills and Customer Orientation: You are a strong communicator in external and internal meetings and can translate complex concepts into clear business value for customers. You are a strong writer and presenter and can author high-quality content (playbooks, product memos) with little oversight. You can develop and communicate a strong POV informed by customer insights, AI Market themes, and your experiences.
  • Cross-Functional Agility: Proven ability to work across various Plaid teams - collaborating effectively with Engineering and Product teams on technical roadmaps while simultaneously driving commercial outcomes with Sales, Account Managers, Partnerships, Commercial, and Legal.
  • High Agency & Ambiguity Tolerance: You thrive in fast-paced environments where the playbook is still being written. You are comfortable scoping your own projects and executing with minimal hand-holding.
  • Location: Preference for SF, then NY, then Raleigh/remote.
