Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Work directly with business users across operations, engineering, finance, land, regulatory, and IT to understand day-to-day pain points and inefficiencies.
Embed with teams to observe workflows, identify automation opportunities, and rapidly prototype AI-enabled solutions that remove manual effort and friction.
Translate loosely defined business problems into concrete, technical solutions using GPTs, automation platforms, and custom code.
Act as a hands-on automation partner; not a ticket-taker, owning solutions from problem definition through delivery and iteration.
Iterate quickly based on user feedback, refining prompts, workflows, and tools to improve usability, trust, and adoption.
Create lightweight documentation, examples, and usage patterns that allow users to confidently leverage AI tools in their daily work.
AI Engineering & GPT Enablement
Design, build, and deploy GPT-based tools and assistants that directly augment user workflows and decision-making.
Develop custom GPTs, prompt frameworks, and reusable components tailored to real operational and knowledge-work use cases.
Integrate large language models via APIs into enterprise systems, data platforms, and automated workflows.
Balance speed and experimentation with engineering rigor to deliver reliable, repeatable, production-grade solutions.
Workflow Automation & Orchestration
Design and implement end-to-end automated workflows that combine GPTs, business rules, and enterprise data.
Automate repetitive, manual, or cognitively heavy tasks such as document generation, summarization, validation, analysis, and reporting.
Use Python, APIs, and workflow automation platforms to orchestrate AI-driven processes that scale beyond one-off solutions.
Ensure automations are resilient and supportable, with appropriate error handling, logging, and basic observability.
Qualifications & Experience: Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
Equivalent practical experience will be considered.
Technical Skills & Experience:
4+ years of experience in software engineering, automation, data engineering, or adjacent technical roles.
Hands-on experience building and deploying GPT-based solutions using OpenAI or comparable LLM platforms.
Strong skills in prompt engineering, API integrations, and structured output design.
Experience with Python and/or JavaScript for automation, orchestration, and integration.
Familiarity with workflow automation platforms (e.g., UIPath, Power Automate, serverless workflows, job schedulers).
Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise data platforms (e.g., Snowflake or similar).
Understanding of authentication, authorization, and secure API usage.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong ability to partner directly with business users, quickly build trust, and deeply understand how work actually gets done.
Equally comfortable writing code and sitting with users to map workflows, ask good questions, and iterate on solutions.
Bias toward action and simplification. Focused on removing friction rather than adding tooling.
Ability to move between high-level problem framing and low-level implementation details without losing momentum.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts and AI limitations in plain language.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Primarily office-based with occasional travel to field offices and operational sites as needed.
Potential exposure to remote and high-risk environments, requiring adherence to safety protocols.
May involve walking, climbing, bending, or handling equipment during site visits.
Possible exposure to varied weather conditions (heat, cold, rain) while on-site at the field offices.
Availability for emergency response and incident management, including after-hours support when required.
