Full Job Description
AI Enablement & Improvement Lead

The AI Enablement & Improvement Lead will turn this ambition into practical business results. The position will build AI capability across Stadler US Inc., help employees identify valuable use cases, develop and test AI-enabled solutions using approved tools, and support the adoption and scaling of proven solutions. In this role, you will work closely with corporate development, management and with office employees, functional leaders, and shop-floor team leads, foremen and employees. The successful candidate will combine applied AI knowledge with manufacturing credibility, strong teaching and communication skills, process-improvement experience, and the ability to convert operational challenges into secure and measurable solutions.

This position is not a pure data-science, software-development, or IT support role. It is a business transformation role focused on improving everyday work through responsible and practical use of AI.

Key Functions

  • Build sustainable AI capability from the workplace up.
  • Train employees to use AI (especially LLMs) effectively and responsibly.
  • Help identify practical improvement opportunities and drive AI initiatives across the organization.
  • Translate business problems into viable AI use cases.
  • Prototype and implement solutions with approved tools.
  • Coordinate complex use cases with IT and Stadler Group functions.
  • Measure and document operational value.
  • Scale secure, reliable, and reusable solutions across Stadler US Inc.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a technology field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in digital transformation, operational excellence, business process improvement, industrial technology, or consulting.
  • Hands-on experience applying generative AI or LLM-based tools to real world business workflows.
  • Hands-on proficiency with Microsoft Copilot or comparable enterprise AI tools.
  • Ability to develop low-complexity prototypes independently.
  • Basic understanding of APIs, structured data, enterprise permissions, and system integration is a plus.
  • Strong process-mapping and structured problem-solving capability.
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, coaching, and written communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of data privacy, confidentiality, intellectual property, cybersecurity, access control, and responsible AI.
  • Knowledge of AI markets (app availability and developments on the AI market)
  • Familiarity with enterprise applications such as SAP, Microsoft 365, Jira, Primavera, PLM, document-management, or manufacturing systems is desirable.
