Position Description: At CGI Federal's Federal Solutions Group (FSG), we are looking for an AI & Cloud Native Developer to create innovative solutions in the cloud. You will work with fellow AWS, Azure, and GCP Architects, Engineers, and Developers to create solutions, automation, and applications. Leverage AWS, Azure, and GCP services and APIs to create cloud native and AI enabled applications to support clients, cloud governance, and FSG's Managed Services Provider (MSP) practice. This role offers mentorship and growth opportunities for developers eager to expand their cloud and AI skills.
This position is located in our Lafayette, LA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities: Design and implement secure solutions and architectures for AWS, Azure and GCP to support clients, delivery teams, and MSP/MSSP practices.
Create AI and cloud native (serverless or container based) solutions
Prototype, create proof of concepts, test, and demo new functionality, solutions, and services to engineering teams and stakeholders.
Build and configure CI/CD jobs, code pipelines, and automated solutions that can be reused across projects.
Document all configuration, management, and optimization changes to the cloud environment.
Collaborate with cross functional teams and participate in code reviews.
Stay current with emerging cloud and AI technologies and share knowledge with the team.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Due to the nature of the government contracts we support, US Citizenship is required.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Ability to convert requirements, documentation, and diagrams into deployable solutions, IaC and code.
Knowledge of at least one programming language (Python preferred; C#, Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Ruby)
Understanding of Git for source code version control and CI/CD pipeline orchestration.
Ability to work effectively in a distributed team using collaboration tools.
Must have the ability and desire to learn quickly, adapt to new technology, and maintain industry certifications.
Understanding of Agile and DevOps methods and mindset.
Strong communication and documentation skills in a hybrid work environment.
Curiosity, problem solving mindset, and eagerness to learn.
Desired qualifications/non essential skills required:
Experience developing AI agent solutions, chatbots, or conversational AI with AI agent frameworks (e.g., AWS Bedrock Agents, LangChain, Strands).
Knowledge of AI/ML concepts, frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker), and generative AI.
2+ years of experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP (role will primarily work in AWS, but the group supports multiple CSPs).
Experience developing serverless applications using AWS services (DynamoDB, EventBridge, Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS).
Experience with container based applications, microservices patterns, and APIs (Docker, ECS, Fargate, Kubernetes - AKS, EKS, GKE).
Experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) programming in PySpark on AWS (Glue, EMR, etc.).
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, or CDKs).
At least one AWS, Azure, or GCP Associate or higher level certification.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (if applicable).

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $63,700.00 $156,700.00.
