Full Job Description
Description

As a Solutions Engineer for Affordable Housing, you will serve as the crucial technical backbone of our enterprise sales process, transforming complex regulatory hurdles into streamlined software solutions. In this role, you aren't just selling software-you are architecting mission-critical compliance workflows that empower property owners and Public Housing Authorities (PHAs) to maximize their community impact while remaining secure and audit-proof. By bridging the gap between intricate housing policies and our powerful technical product suite, you will directly drive net-new logo acquisition and define the future of affordable housing technology.
Your Impact
  • Building trust by listening to customer needs: Lead deep-dive technical discovery sessions with enterprise prospects to uncover complex compliance bottlenecks, data silos, and reporting requirements.
  • Consistently meeting commitments: Design and deliver high-fidelity, customized product demonstrations that prove how our Rules Engine and HUD Special Claims automation solve rigorous state-level Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP) requirements.
  • Elevating the collective output of the department: Serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) on platform automations, educating both internal teams and external stakeholders on LIHTC income limits, Section 8 recertifications, and HOTMA transitions.
  • Prioritizing urgency and transparency: Own the end-to-end technical response for complex government and enterprise RFPs/RFIs, ensuring all security, integration, and regulatory queries are addressed with absolute precision.
  • Thriving in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment: Partner closely with Product and Engineering teams to translate field regulatory shifts into scalable product features, including automated waitlist management and enhanced audit trails.
Qualifications
  • Proven ability to navigate and explain intricate regulatory mathematical models (such as Adjusted Gross Income calculations) in a compelling, value-driven manner to C-suite executives and property site managers alike.
  • Deep familiarity with enterprise property management ecosystems (PropTech) and legacy systems like Yardi Voyager (Affordable), RealPage OneSite, or Entrata.
  • Strong integration literacy with the ability to confidently discuss API connections, large-scale data migrations, and automated workflows interacting with external compliance monitoring agencies.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20-30% for high-value on-site presentations, stakeholder meetings, and major industry conferences.
  • Industry-recognized compliance designations are highly preferred (e.g., COS - Certified Occupational Specialist, HCCP - Housing Credit Certified Professional).
Must Have
  • 3-5 years of dedicated experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, or serving as a high-level Compliance Director for a major affordable housing developer.
  • Deep domain expertise in federal and state housing regulations, including HUD (Public & Indian Housing), Section 8, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and HOME program guidelines.
  • Demonstrated success supporting a Full Sales Cycle, executing Challenger Sales methodologies, and driving net-new logo acquisition for enterprise-level prospects.
