Your Impact

You will help build a safe, skilled, and capable workforce by delivering high-quality training and competency programs that support operational excellence across mill processing areas. Your work will directly contribute to workforce capability, compliance, and the safe execution of work.
As Part of Our Team You Will
  • Deliver technical training programs for mill operations employees and contractors.
  • Facilitate classroom, field-based, and on-the-job learning activities.
  • Conduct competency assessments and support Verification of Competency (VOC) processes.
  • Coach, mentor, and support learners through onboarding and workforce development programs.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, assessments, and learning resources.
  • Monitor training compliance and maintain accurate competency records.
  • Partner with supervisors and subject matter experts to ensure training reflects current operational standards and procedures.
Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role
  • Diploma, Certificate, Journeyperson Certification, or equivalent experience in mining, processing, industrial operations, trades, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of mining or mineral processing experience.
  • Experience in operational training, coaching, leadership, or competency assessment.
  • Strong knowledge of mill operations and associated safety systems.
  • Experience developing technical training materials and assessments.
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Your Work Environment

You will work in a dynamic processing plant environment, collaborating closely with operations leaders, frontline employees, and contractors. The role combines field engagement, coaching, and administrative responsibilities to support workforce development, training compliance, and operational readiness.

The expected salary range for this role is CA$85,400 - 113,900. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate's pay history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about pay history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
