Your Impact

As Project Lead, Sustaining Capital Projects, you will play a key role in delivering the infrastructure that supports safe, reliable, and sustainable mining operations at Red Chris Mine. Through strong project leadership, contractor management, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, you will help execute capital projects that improve operational performance and support the site's future growth.

As Part of Our Team You Will

  • Lead sustaining capital projects from planning through execution and close-out.
  • Manage contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
  • Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, risk, and reporting activities.
  • Coordinate engineering, construction, and operational teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Support contract administration, change management, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor project performance, quality, and safety.Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.


Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role

  • Degree in Engineering or Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
  • 5-10 years of experience delivering mining, construction, industrial, or infrastructure projects.

Your Work Environment

Based at Red Chris Mine in Northern British Columbia, this is a fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) position supporting a large-scale mining operation. You'll work alongside a dedicated team of project and operational professionals in a safety-focused environment, with access to modern camp accommodations, recreation facilities, career development opportunities, and a culture built on respect, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

The expected salary range for this role is CA$$129,300 - $172,400 . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate's pay history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about pay history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
