Full Job Description
Function/Duties of Position

The Administrative Director of the Office of the President serves as a trusted partner and operational leader, ensuring the effective administrative management of the President's Office and KCG leadership team. Working in close partnership with the President, the Director drives administrative initiatives , manages administrative priorities, and provides leadership to the administrative staff supporting the President as well as the executive assistants supporting KCG leadership. Remote work is available 1 day per week.

Duties include:

Office of the President Administrative Support
  • Direct all administrative operations of the Office of the President.
  • Develop and implement support systems that improve efficiency, communication, and workflow.
  • Establish and monitor office policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Manage departmental budgets and operational resources.
  • Ensure the President's Office provides exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.

Administrative Staff Leadership
  • Recruit, supervise, coach, and evaluate executive administrative professionals supporting the President and KCG Executives
  • Build a high-performing administrative team focused on collaboration, customer service, and continuous improvement.
  • Assign workloads, establish priorities, and optimize administrative support across executive leadership.
  • Foster professional development and succession planning within the administrative team.
  • Facilitate collaboration among executive leaders and key stakeholders.
  • Serve as part of the team supporting executive leaders, with priority on President of KCG, to handle calendaring, inbox management, triaging/delegating topics that can be handled by someone other than the President, tracking that all requests have been received and actioned on to ensure the volume of support needed is appropriately resourced

Relationship Management
  • Build collaborative relationships across the organization.
  • Serve as an administrative liaison between the President and executive leadership, faculty, staff, donors, community partners, and external organizations.
  • Navigate sensitive situations with diplomacy, judgment, and professionalism.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, Organizational Leadership, or related field
  • Seven to ten years of progressively responsible leadership experience supporting senior executives
  • Experience managing executive operations and administrative professionals
  • Demonstrated success leading complex projects involving multiple stakeholders
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent executive writing and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain strict confidentiality


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Leadership, or related field
  • Experience in higher education, academic medicine, healthcare, research institutions, or nonprofit organizations
  • Experience supporting a CEO, President, Chancellor, Dean, or Executive Director
  • Experience working with governing boards
