Position Description:

CGI is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in Washington, DC.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

. Provide administrative support to the Assistant Director, Chief of Staff, Division Chiefs, and Front Office teams, including managing schedules, calendars, and daily plans. Adapt plans to meet unusual requirements or respond to unexpected changes.
. Keep Senior Executive Service and other senior leaders informed in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
. Track assigned tasks and due dates, maintaining tasking systems for the assigned Division as applicable.
. Offer confidential support to the Chief of Staff and Front Office team, including Senior Executive Service leaders such as the Assistant Director and Deputy Assistant Director.
. Arrange conferences and meetings, including audio and visual conferencing requirements like Microsoft Teams.
. Review incoming correspondence, publications, regulations, policies, and directives affecting the AD, DAD, or OAFM organization, determining appropriate distribution and routing.
. Prepare and review outgoing correspondence for proper format and adherence to policy and procedures.
. Support the Division in preparing, editing, and reviewing written documents in English, including reports, forms, and various correspondences using Microsoft applications.
. Draft, edit, and review text for accuracy, grammar, punctuation, and logical presentation of information as requested.
. Compose memorandums and official organizational correspondences in English, preparing them for final signature.
. Create technical reports, papers, articles, and other materials involving the latest concepts in the financial/budgeting field.
. Resolve issues and negotiate differences in technical content, formatting, and data presentation, persuading others to accept editorial changes.
. Collaborate with Government experts to review submissions, validate processes, recommend improvements, and ensure the quality of published documentation.
. Rewrite portions of technical materials to ensure meaningful presentation of information.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. Duty hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
. Clearance is required before performing work at DHS.
. Effective oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to read, interpret, and apply Federal policy, directives, and regulations.
. Strong fact-gathering and research methodology skills.
. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
. Proficiency in software such as Windows, Adobe, MS Office Suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and MS Word), SharePoint, and Teams.
. Periodic travel to authorized locations may be required in the performance of duties.
Hourly Rate: $39.97/hour

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to: skill set level, relevant experience and training, and licensure and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
