Job DescriptionThe successful candidate is expected to be a fellow with demonstrated relevant experience. You will be a key contributor to the team's most judgement-intensive and technically complex activities, including assumption development and strategic reserving initiatives.
ResponsibilitiesKey duties and responsibilities- Lead and support assumption development and experience analysis activities
- Provide technical expertise and direction on assumption-related AXIS modelling work
- Identify, assess, and mitigate model and assumption-related risks
- Support and lead targeted innovation and process improvement initiatives
- Contribute to valuation, capital, and reporting activities as required
Desired Experience & Competencies- Bachelor's degree in actuarial sciences or related field
- FSA/FCIA designation (or international equivalent) strongly preferred, with 7+ years of experience.
- Significant experience in assumption development and experience analysis
- Strong AXIS modelling expertise
- Innovative mindset and strong actuarial judgement
- Knowledge of data-based applications (VBA, SQL, Python, SAS, PowerBI, etc.) an asset
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite
- Strong analytical skills with strong problem-solving ability
- Well-organized and a self-directed individual who is a team player
- Demonstrated ability to handle priorities / projects concurrently and to deliver
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills; proven success communicating effectively across different levels within an organization
- French language proficiency while not a pre-requisite will be considered an asset
QualificationsRequired Education- Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science or related field with demonstrated record of academic excellence

Pay Range for roles performed in Toronto: $142,000 - $182,000 base salary per year. Actual salaries may vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, role and performance. The range listed is just one component of SCOR's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives.
