Accounting Manager (Consulting)Location: Hybrid - Seattle
Compensation: $115,000 - $125,000 base salary (DOE) + benefits
What You'll Do- Lead and manage full-cycle accounting across multiple client engagements
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Step into Controller-level responsibilities as needed, including financial oversight, process improvement, and strategic support
- Partner directly with client leadership (CFOs, CEOs, and Controllers) to provide financial insights and recommendations
- Develop and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and operational processes
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives
- Review reconciliations, journal entries, and key deliverables for accuracy and completeness
- Assist with audit coordination and tax preparation support
- Mentor junior staff or collaborate with other consultants on engagements
What We're Looking For- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory exposure
- Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting
- Experience working across multiple industries (e.g., manufacturing, construction, non-profit, tech, or services) - generalist background strongly preferred
- Experience operating at or supporting Controller-level functions is a big plus
- Proficiency in accounting systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar
- Advanced Excel skills and strong systems adaptability
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and thrive in a client-facing environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with executive-level stakeholders
- Analytical mindset with a passion for problem-solving and process improvement
