Position OverviewAs an Accounting Associate within PNC's Finance organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Cincinnati, OH.
As an Accounting Associate, you will be part of PNC's Finance organization, supporting leasing products with a portfolio of more than $13 billion in assets. This position is based in Pittsburgh, PA, or Cincinnati, OH, and requires working onsite five days per week. You will join a team of nine accounting professionals led by the PNC Leasing Products Controller and report directly to the Assistant Controller.
This role offers excellent exposure to accounting operations within a dynamic business environment. As you develop your knowledge of the organization and the equipment finance industry, your responsibilities will continue to expand. You will work closely with the Assistant Controller, collaborate across multiple departments, and support a variety of accounting and reporting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform monthly close activities and variance analysis for multiple entities.
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
Conduct accounting system research and support departmental projects.
Prepare corporate reporting packages and ad hoc financial reports.
Partner with business stakeholders and provide exceptional customer service.
Respond to inquiries from Line of Business Operations teams.
Support special projects and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
CPA or active pursuit of a CPA designation preferred.
Two or more years of accounting experience preferred.
Strong understanding of GAAP.
Experience working with the general ledger, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to analyze financial data and work efficiently with large datasets.
Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description- Supports the organization's accounting activities, including financial record keeping and reporting.
- Prepares, analyzes, and maintains records of organization's financial activity in accordance with GAAP, organizational standards, and in compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
- Creates and evaluates reports on financial performance for internal and external use. Interacts with all levels of an organization in determining content and summarizing data for management.
- Completes month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities including the preparation and review of journal entries and appropriate audit work papers, and the reconciliation of accounts for such activities. These activities may relate to bank accounting, loans and investments, deposits, and tax, including preparing the appropriate audit work papers for such activities.
- Supports and assists junior accounting staff in the development of their professional skills.

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
