Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings - carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Role PurposeCorning is seeking an Account Product Line Specialist to drive cross-functional execution for a leading hyperscale data center customer. Partnering closely with the Account Product Line Manager and regional Product Line Managers, this role connects product solution strategy to day-to-day delivery - aligning forecasts, resolving product issues, and coordinating across fiber, cable, connectivity, and hardware product lines to meet customer architecture and deployment requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate cross-functional teams - including Technology, Manufacturing, Product Line Management, Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain - to align execution against customer architecture and deployment plans
- Develop and maintain solution-level roadmaps tied to customer requirements; forecast demand at the solution level in coordination with Product Line Management, Sales, and Supply Chain
- Drive alignment between manufacturing capabilities and product strategies; support business cases for investment timing, cross-product dependencies, and customization decisions
- Track and communicate performance metrics including project execution status, profitability, roadmap progress, and SLA compliance
- Support customer-facing engagement alongside the Account Product Line Manager and commercial teams; monitor competitive and technology trends and translate insights for internal product and account teams
- Up to 25% domestic and international travel required
Experiences/Education - Required- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field with 3+ years of experience in commercial, product, or strategy roles; OR an Engineering degree with an MBA and experience in strategic coordination or solution planning
- Experience coordinating complex product or customer solution initiatives across cross-functional or matrixed organizations
- Familiarity with hyperscale architectures, fiber optics, connectivity, or cable product lines
- Strong analytical skills, including solution-level business case development
Experiences- Desired- Understanding of hyperscale data center markets and architectural trends
- Technical familiarity with fiber, cable, and connectivity infrastructure
- Prior experience supporting hyperscale customer accounts at any level
This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $100,646.00 - $138,388.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
