Account Manager - Sema4.aiThe OpportunityWe are seeking a Sales Hunter-an Account Manager passionate about acquiring new business and turning initial wins into expansive platform partnerships. You'll help build our national enterprise customer base, driving net-new revenue through relentless prospecting, insightful discovery, and disciplined execution. In this quota-carrying, field-facing role, you'll own the full sales cycle-from cold outreach and pipeline creation to negotiation, close, and early-stage expansion. Collaborate closely with our Forward Deployed Engineers to land strategic accounts and systematically expand Sema4.ai's presence as the AI agent platform of choice.
What You'll DoNew Logo Acquisition & Pipeline Generation- Own and drive net-new revenue across a national territory through outbound prospecting, targeted accounts, and inbound lead follow-up
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline (3-4x quota coverage) through cold outreach, referrals, partner channels, and event leads
- Develop and execute national account plans targeting high-value enterprise prospects across sectors
- Maintain accurate pipeline hygiene and forecasting in CRM (Salesforce), ensuring consistent deal stage management
Sales Execution- Lead discovery, solution presentations, and commercial negotiations from initial outreach to signed agreement
- Partner with Forward Deployed Engineers to scope and position AI agent solutions with measurable customer value
- Coordinate proof-of-concept projects and executive business reviews to accelerate deals and foster customer commitment
- Navigate complex enterprise procurement including legal, security, and multi-stakeholder approvals
Land & Expand- Execute a land-and-expand strategy: close initial deals at ideal entry points, followed by systematic growth into adjacent teams, departments, and use cases
- Work with Forward Deployed Engineers post-close for rapid time-to-value and identify ongoing expansion opportunities
- Proactively uncover upsell and cross-sell opportunities, growing ACV over time
- Conduct strategic account reviews to align on outcomes, demonstrate ROI, and drive broader platform adoption
- Develop and nurture executive relationships to generate referrals, co-marketing opportunities, and internal champions
Market Development- Represent Sema4.ai at industry events, conferences, and executive briefings to build pipeline and brand awareness
- Collaborate with marketing on account-based campaigns, referrals, and co-sell initiatives with technology partners
Who You AreRequired Qualifications- 3-5 years of outside B2B sales experience and a track record of meeting or exceeding new logo/net-new revenue quotas
- Hunter mentality: energized by prospecting, cold outreach, and acquiring new business
- Experience selling complex SaaS solutions to enterprise buyers (C-suite, VP, and Directors)
- Proven ability to self-source pipeline through outbound efforts, networking, and territory development
- Strong consultative selling skills: linking business problems to tangible outcomes
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-threaded deal cycles and navigating complex procurement processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident in executive presentations and demos
- Proficient with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) and modern sales tools (Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.)
- Based in Atlanta, GA (preferred) or able to travel nationally-the role covers a national territory
Preferred Qualifications- Demonstrated land-and-expand track record-growing initial deals into multi-year, multi-department platform commitments
- Experience selling AI, automation, or data platform solutions in enterprise environments
- Familiarity with AI agents, LLMs, workflow automation, or RPA concepts
- Experience at high-growth startups contributing to sales playbooks or processes
- Industry expertise in financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, or other data-intensive verticals
- Experience in co-selling with technology partners (AWS, Microsoft, Salesforce ecosystem)
