DescriptionJob SummaryThe Hyperscale Sales Account Manager is responsible for developing and advancing relationships within the Major Infrastructure business segment. Assigned accounts are the five major hyperscale customers. As account manager, you will have responsibility for corporate and transactional sales in addition to custom projects as assigned by account leads. While supporting existing business, you're also responsible to hunt within the account base and contribute to the success of each relationship.
Responsibilities- Cultivate relationships within existing customer base and named target accounts.
- Generate new customer relationships within the hyperscale customer base.
- Pursues opportunities across entire footprint in North America.
- Increase net revenue and share of business in assigned accounts.
- Develops strong relationships with decision makers leading to the sale of Lightpath products and services.
- Develops and effectively manages a funnel of active opportunities sufficient to meet future quota objectives, as defined.
- Meets quota objectives on a periodic basis, as assigned, and accurately forecasts projected sales while complying with company processes and policies.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 5+ years sales experience within the telecommunications field handling mid-tier and large accounts.
- Demonstrated ability to hunt, develop, manage, and close sales opportunities on a consistent basis.
- Demonstrated ability to make professional presentations to customers and prospects and communicate complex technical issues in layman's terms.
- Solid understanding of telecommunications and Information Technology concepts and fundamentals.
- Proven history of excellent customer service and ability to build solid customer relationships with a full understanding of the dynamics and techniques of relationship management
This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in Colorado. The pay range at the time of posting in the specified locations is $110,000 - $120,000/year. Pay ranges are supplied in compliance with Colorado law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience.
