AccountManager - Small Business

Location: Toronto and Vancouver - 2 positions

GreenShield isseeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional to join our AccountManagement Team as a full-time Account Manager supporting our Small Businesssegment. Reporting to the Director of Account Management, this role isresponsible for cultivating strong, long-term relationships with Advisors andclients while effectively managing, servicing, and retaining an assignedportfolio of group benefits accounts. The AccountManager serves as a trusted partner and advocate for GreenShield, ensuringexceptional service delivery and high levels of client satisfaction acrosstheir portfolio.

KeyResponsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Advisors and clients, fostering strong and collaborative relationships.
  • Achieve financial objectives related to the growth, retention, and profitability of an assigned block of business.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through clear, professional verbal and written communication.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of solutions aligned with client needs, objectives, and plan requirements.
  • Maintain high levels of client satisfaction through proactive day-to-day service and issue resolution.
  • Monitor and analyze client utilization trends to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to support seamless service delivery.
  • Schedule and lead meetings with Advisors and clients to review renewals, discuss plan performance, and recommend plan design changes.
  • Travel to client locations as required to support relationship management and business development.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to Plan Administrators and Advisors.
  • Promote GreenShield's group products, services, and capabilities to enhance client understanding and engagement.
  • Manage overall group performance by reviewing and analyzing monthly financial reports.
  • Prepare and implement plan design revisions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Clarify administrative procedures, contractual terms, and product-specific features for clients and Advisors.
  • Participate in required training, professional development, and continuing education activities.
  • Adhere to all carrier compliance requirements and industry regulations.
  • Understand and comply with applicable government policies related to program eligibility and administration.
  • Maintain and expand job knowledge through ongoing learning and industry engagement.

Required Competencies & Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of related experience in account management, group benefits, or insurance.
  • Knowledge of group benefits eligibility requirements is considered an asset.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and influencing skills.
  • Self-starter with a results-oriented mindset and strong organizational abilities.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and industry involvement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret client needs and communicate technical information clearly.
  • LLQP license preferred.
  • GBA designation or active progress toward completion preferred.
