Position Summary/Purpose
The Account Manager is responsible for developing and managing strategic customer relationships, driving revenue growth, and expanding business opportunities within assigned accounts and markets. This role owns the customer relationship and commercial strategy, develops account plans, manages the sales pipeline and forecasting process, negotiates commercial terms, and collaborates with Operations and other internal teams to deliver exceptional service, customer retention, and achievement of sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
• Develop, maintain, and grow strategic relationships with key customer accounts and decision-makers.
• Create and execute account plans that support revenue growth, customer retention, and market expansion.
• Identify, qualify, and pursue new sales opportunities within existing and prospective customer accounts.
• Lead customer presentations, commercial discussions, and negotiations for products and services.
• Prepare and oversee quotations, commercial proposals, contracts, and supporting sales documentation.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, account activity, opportunity stages, sales forecasts, and pipeline information.
• Partner with Operations and other internal teams to ensure customer requirements, service commitments, and deliverables are executed successfully.
• Proactively resolve customer concerns and escalations while providing timely communication throughout the customer lifecycle.
• Manage account pricing, discounts, margins, and commercial agreements in accordance with company guidelines.
• Provide market intelligence and account performance updates to Sales leadership while achieving assigned revenue, margin, retention, and business development targets.

Qualifications
• Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline preferred.
• 5-8 years of progressive customer-facing sales, business development, or account management experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing strategic accounts, developing account plans, and achieving sales targets.
• Experience within industrial, energy, or oilfield services is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with CRM systems, sales forecasting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite; valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
