Responsibilities
  • Media Relations Mastery: Leads by example in securing earned media, focusing on marquee feature stories in top national outlets and emerging media platforms, while driving the team to surpass annual KPIs to amplify brand recognition.
  • Team Mentorship & Development: Supports the growth and advancement of manager-level and junior-level staff through mentoring, development, and retention efforts.
  • Client Engagement & Industry Expertise: Leverages industry expertise to anticipate client needs, becoming a trusted partner in their success, while proactively addressing opportunities and challenges with strategic solutions.
  • Strategic Counsel: Provides strategic guidance to clients, collaborating with agency partners to develop and execute impactful communication and creative campaigns, enhancing brand reputation and visibility.
  • Brand Collaborations & Partnerships: Leads the ideation, execution, and recommendation of brand collaborations, partnerships, talent-led campaigns, and event strategies, leveraging creativity to resonate with key media and target audiences.
  • Business Development: Proactively identifies new business leads and opportunities, developing proposals and presentations.
Qualifications
  • Professional Experience: Brings at least six years of full-time experience in public relations and media relations.
  • Passion & Industry Knowledge: Genuine enthusiasm and in-depth knowledge of Luxury, Lifestyle and Travel industries, with a proven track record of delivering impactful stories across diverse media. Ideally has at least two years of direct experience in managing a travel industry account.
  • Build & Maintain Lasting Relationships: Cultivates and maintains genuine relationships with top media outlets and key freelance writers, fostering trust and mutual respect. Your ability to connect with others strengthens our network and enhances our clients' reputation.
  • Leadership & Event Management Expertise: Exemplifies proficiency in team management of at least two direct reports and orchestrating events/programs with both small and large budgets, showcasing adept organizational skills and strategic resource allocation.
  • Travel Flexibility: Embraces opportunities to travel for work-related events or meetings, allowing for engagement and collaboration across diverse settings.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills online and in-person. Spanish speaking and writing skills would be a huge plus for this role.
  • Media Landscape Mastery: Possesses a comprehensive understanding of the media landscape, including print, online, broadcast and new-media (i.e. podcast) channels, enabling effective media outreach and engagement.

The salary range is $95,000 - $110,000 annually.
