Ab Initio ETL Developer to design, develop, and optimize scalable data processing solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Ab Initio, strong SQL skills, and proven experience building high-performance ETL pipelines in enterprise data environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications- Strong hands-on experience with Ab Initio ETL tool
- Graph development
- Ab Initio components and parallel processing concepts
- GDE (Graphical Development Environment)
- Solid experience in SQL and relational databases (Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, etc.)
- Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL best practices
- Proven ability to design and optimize ETL workflows
- Experience working with large-scale data processing systems
- Strong skills in troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and implement robust ETL workflows using Ab Initio, ensuring high performance and scalability
- Build and maintain Ab Initio graphs using components such as Reformat, Join, Partition, Sort, Rollup, and Lookup
- Utilize the Graphical Development Environment (GDE) for efficient ETL development, testing, and debugging
- Develop complex data transformation logic and ensure data integrity across multiple systems
- Integrate ETL pipelines with relational databases using advanced SQL queries
- Optimize ETL processes for performance, scalability, and reliability
- Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot production issues and data inconsistencies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data architects, DBAs, and business stakeholders
- Support deployment, tuning, and monitoring of data pipelines across environments
- Ensure compliance with data governance, data quality, and security standards
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working in distributed and high-volume data environments
- Exposure to Unix/Linux shell scripting and job scheduling tools
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Experience in data migration or modernization projects
- Understanding of Agile methodologies
