Ab Initio ETL Developer with strong experience in data engineering, ETL development, and metadata management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Ab Initio tools, Python-based data pipelines, and working with large-scale datasets in a financial services environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Strong experience with Ab Initio tools, including Conduct>IT, Continuous Flows, and Metadata Hub
- Hands-on expertise in ETL development and optimization
- Proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks
- Strong experience in Oracle, SQL Server, or other relational databases
- Advanced knowledge of SQL, PLSQL, and shell scripting
- Experience with data modeling and performance tuning
- Familiarity with data governance, data lineage, and metadata management
- Proven ability to lead code reviews and enforce development standards
- Experience in financial services domain (mandatory)
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Basic knowledge or awareness of AI tools and machine learning models
Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Ab Initio (GDE, Co-Operating System, EME, Conduct>IT, Continuous Flows, and Metadata Hub)
- Implement Conduct>IT, vectors, and metaprogramming techniques
- Work on PDL, resource pool management, and dynamic lookups
- Build scalable data pipelines using Python for processing and automation
- Perform data modeling, database design, and performance tuning
- Work with large datasets in relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)
- Develop and optimize shell scripts and advanced SQL/PLSQL queries
- Optimize Ab Initio graphs for performance and efficiency
- Ensure adherence to data governance, lineage, and metadata management practices
- Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure high-quality deliverables
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and translate data requirements
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards
