Summary:

HII Mission Technologies is seeking an Ab Initio Administrator to support the United States Postal Service (USPS) enterprise data processing platform. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Ab Initio components across development, test, and production environments. The administrator ensures high availability, reliability, and performance of Ab Initio systems and provides support for both users and critical production operations. This position can work remotely.

What You Will Do:
• Administer, monitor, and support the Ab Initio platform and Ab Initio web applications in an on-premises environment.
• Install, configure, patch, and troubleshoot Ab Initio components including Co>Operating System, EME, and related services.
• Perform environment support activities such as job execution coordination, scheduling, platform access administration, and data movement.
• Execute EME/TRMC TAG migrations and manage project deployments across environments.
• Manage Ab Initio patches, upgrades, and configuration updates across development, test, and production environments.
• Coordinate with Ab Initio Support to resolve platform issues and ensure overall system stability.
• Perform UNIX/Linux server patching and provide production support including stop/start of Ab Initio and related applications.
• Troubleshoot system-related user issues involving Ab Initio and Ab Initio web applications.
• Use ServiceNow to track incidents, submit change requests, and coordinate deployments.
• Provide after-hours support for incidents involving the Ab Initio application to ensure continuity of critical USPS operations.

What We're Looking For:

  • 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
  • Experience with Ab Initio administration or similar enterprise ETL/data integration platforms (Ab Initio preferred).
  • Proficiency in UNIX/Linux administration or the ability to quickly learn USPS-specific UNIX environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for application, server, and environment issues.
  • Experience using enterprise ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
  • Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain USPS clearance; U.S. citizens and permanent residents (green card holders) are eligible.


Preferred Experience:
• Experience performing Ab Initio upgrades, patching, and environment migrations.
• Familiarity with job scheduling tools (e.g., Autosys, Control-M).
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise data environments.
