Job Description:

Caterpillar has an opening for a 3rd shift Logistics Production Manager who will collaborate with the team and maintaining and improving processes and systems and the manufacturing of the products produced in the facility. Further you will analyze and recommend current and future systems procedures and equipment needs based on manufacturing requirements

Specifically in this role you can expect to:
  • Monitor and improve shop floor safety, aggressively eliminating unsafe processes
  • Determines priorities and sequences jobs
  • Schedules and prioritizes constrained resources, and adjusts staff to meet flow and customer requirements
  • Ensures production material is procured and distributed to meet production schedules
  • Increases production efficiency through continuous improvement and waste elimination
  • Determine overtime needs and priorities when resources are insufficient.
  • Ensures preventive maintenance is performed according to schedule
  • Implements, Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, Internal Certification and others
  • Develop and deploy standard work for each work area
  • Drives root cause corrective action projects and continuous improvement
  • Manage outbound shipments for multiple customer types, including processing, systems, and required documentation for overseas shipments

  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.

Summary Pay Range:

$81,370.00 - $122,060.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
