We are seeking an Automation Lead to join our growing team.
Role: Playwright Automation QA Lead
Location: Canada (Remote)
What You'll Do- Lead Quality Engineering and automation initiatives across Agile teams.
- Partner with Product Owners, Developers, Engineering Managers, and Scrum teams to define QA strategies and automation roadmaps.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks, with a strong focus on Playwright.
- Lead and mentor QA engineers while establishing automation standards and best practices.
- Develop and execute automated tests for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
- Communicate project status, remove blockers, and maintain QA documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement in test automation, framework design, and quality processes.
Required Qualifications- Proven experience leading Automation QA or Quality Engineering teams.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright using TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, or Python.
- Strong experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks.
- Experience with keyword-driven, data-driven, hybrid, and BDD automation frameworks.
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and mentor team members.
Nice to Have- Experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
- Experience with API testing and modern automation practices.
- Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tools.
- Experience providing QA consulting or leading automation transformation initiatives.
Interview ProcessCandidates should be prepared for a live coding exercise during technical interviews (L1, L2, and client rounds).
Please ensure the following are installed and configured on your laptop before the interview:
- Visual Studio Code
- Node.js
- Playwright
You will be asked to write, execute, and troubleshoot Playwright automation scripts during the interview.
