What You’ll Be Doing:
Seeking an Investment Banking Analyst to help support the continued growth of CIBC’s U.S. Investment Banking platform. Analysts are expected to be active contributors during every phase of the deal process by contributing to the development of initial pitch material, marketing materials, data analyses, financial models, due diligence materials, and other key deliverables throughout the transaction process. Our team values consistent learning and skill development by providing opportunities to actively participate in key client meetings such as pitches and drafting sessions.
How You’ll Succeed:
- Conduct industry research and analysis to assist in business development
- Participate in cross-functional teams across other units of CIBC Capital Markets to execute mandates
- Organize presentations to potential clients, assisting in the development of presentation slides
- Prepare industry and financial analysis to determine client recommendations
- Assist in completing comparable public company, precedent transaction, and other valuation analyses
- Assist in company due diligence
- Prepare confidential information presentations (CIPs), teasers, management presentations, and other transaction marketing materials
- Coordinate and participate in calls and meetings with clients and potential buyers
- Develop financial models and customer data analyses
Who You Are:
- Graduate with a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related discipline (Graduation date of May 2027 or earlier)
- Excellent analytical ability, including valuation techniques and practices.
- Knowledge of accounting principles relating to financial statement preparation.
- Experience preparing high quality client deliverable documents and presentations.
- Extreme dedication and motivation with high career aspirations. Must be capable of assuming significant levels of responsibility for assignments to be completed within short time frames.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and writing skills to effectively convey ideas and information and actively participate in developing and maintaining productive client relationships.
- Well-developed organizational skills in order to respond to shifting priorities on several simultaneous projects.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary of $105,000 for the Milwaukee, WI market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
