20137-Sr Oracle DBA
Location: Montgomery, AL (5 days On-Site)

Role Overview:
This role provides strategic and technical leadership for enterprise database infrastructure supporting Hyundai Motor Group and its affiliates. It is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and lifecycle management of mission-critical database environments that enable continuous manufacturing operations and prevent production downtime. The position drives high-impact initiatives across diverse database platforms, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability, while collaborating with headquarters and cross-functional IT/OT teams to deliver secure and efficient solutions across enterprise and plant systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Enterprise Database Strategy & Operations
    Define and execute architecture, standards, and lifecycle management for heterogeneous database platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, SAP HANA, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Tibero) across Unix/Linux/Windows environments.
  • Ensure High Availability & Manufacturing Continuity
    Support ERP, MES, and OT systems across multiple business units, proactively maintaining system stability and preventing production line downtime through performance optimization and reliability engineering.
  • Optimize Performance & Resolve Complex Issues
    Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot database performance using query optimization, indexing strategies, and resource management, while conducting root cause analysis and system testing.
  • Implement Data Protection & Resiliency
    Design and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity and safeguard mission-critical operations.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Projects & Integration
    Lead database initiatives from requirements through implementation, collaborating with ERP, MES, and OT teams to support system integration, deployments, and ongoing improvements while ensuring timely project delivery.


Basic Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience managing large-scale Oracle and SQL Server database environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound, logical decisions
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within tight - Effective communication and collaboration skills across both technical teams and business stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented, cross-functional environment
  • Strong customer-focused mindset with experience supporting and engaging stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification
  • Experience with SAP MaxDB
  • Additional exposure to enterprise ERP or database ecosystems


Salary range: $90,000 - $130,000
