WalkMe is a web-based service owned by WalkMe Inc. that helps users navigate the features of other web-based services. WalkMe works by overlaying information in "tip-balloons" in the browser window. These balloons break down online processes into step-by-step instructions. These balloons help users complete online tasks without leaving the screen to watch video tutorials or read manuals or FAQ pages. WalkMe algorithm delivers contextual guidance. This allows users automatically get the specific guidance according to their preference and language. WalkMe Inc. was founded in 2011 by Dan Adika Raphael Sweary and Eyal Cohen, and in April 2012 launched the product WalkMe. Their headquarters are at 22 4th Street, in San Francisco, California, and the company is backed by Mangrove Capital Partners, Giza Venture Capital, Gemini Funds, ScaleVP, Greenspring Associates and Insight Venture Partners.
