Wearing these two colors together will make you a better employee

It’s a weird time of year for fashion. Summer is coming to an end but we aren’t quite at fall so you have to be a little creative when it comes to apparel. But one idea is to take two of the season’s most popular colors and combine them resulting in a powerful ensemble that will give you major confidence.

Two of the biggest colors we have seen on runways and sidewalks alike are lilac and pistachio. They are both give off a bit of a 70s retro vibe as well as a certain level of whimsy and elegance. Separately both colors stand well on their own. Victoria Beckham wore a gorgeous lilac suit from her fashion line (priced at $2,994) that would be perfect for work. Colors in the purple family are also believed to bring out creativity.

Pistachio has also been having a major moment this summer and spring and seen on the runways of Jacquemus and Tibi. The former girlfriend of Bradley Cooper, Irina Shayk, wore a delightful pistachio dress by Faithfull the Brand and matching sneakers right after the event to show the world that not only was she surviving but she was thriving. Green conveys wealth and growth, both good things.

Psychologist and author Carole Kanchier said of the color green that it “suggests security, abundance, love, growth, luck, and balance.” She also noted, “Wear green when you want to see things from a different perspective, need to feel grounded, calm, generous. Don’t wear it when you’re confused, feel stagnant, want to be alone.”

So mixing these two colors together, though a bold move, is also quite powerful. Who What Wear pointed out that influencers are all about this Easter egg-ish type look because it just makes you feel good so why not give it a try.
