Calling all Stephen King fans: This job will haunt your dreams.
If you’ve read King’s novels and even love the horror flicks based off his work, there’s a new job looking for someone to rewatch the classics based off King’s novels as two new King releases hit theaters this year.
USDish will pay one lucky — or unlucky — fan $1,300 to watch 13 of King’s scariest flicks, from classics like Cujo and Children of the Corn to modern hits like It, in preparation for two new releases scheduled to be released before Halloween.
The gig asks for one fan to journal their experience while watching these horror flicks, such as tracking their heart rate to their viewing habits, like watching it alone or with a fan. The company will provide a worksheet and a Fitbit to help guide the participant’s experience during the experience, according to the press release.
This job will haunt your dreams
The dream job comes as two additional King movies are released this year, It: Chapter 2, in theaters now and Doctor Sleep, which comes out in November. The horror-loving winner will receive a movie theater gift card to watch either movie.
In order to apply, applicants are asked to describe in 200 words or less why they should be chosen. The contest also asked for a video showing your Halloween spirit, if you want bonus points.
