It’s that time of year again. No, not back to school time but Pumpkin Spice Latte season. Yes the drink flavor that somehow in the last 10 years has become the symbol for all things fall is here once again. Starbucks released their iconic Pumpkin Spice Latte drink this week and other coffee chains like Dunkin’ Donuts are following suit with their own PSL-flavored concoctions.
Now there are definitely a group of people out there that hate all the hype around this but it doesn’t mean they still aren’t spending a lot of time talking about it, especially on social media. The staff at food site thedaringkitchen.com tracked down which states have the most people Tweeting about the Pumpkin Spice Latte by looking at the popular hashtags associated with it such as #PSL #pumpkinspicelatte #pumpkinspice, etc.
In just one day they found that over 100,000 geotagged tweets were tracked and these were the states showing the most activity.
