Brew this! In a bid to inspire more Americans to patronize local businesses, the software and services recommendation website Business.org is starting with coffee shops – and wants to pay one person $1,000 to forgo corporate coffee for a month. Goodbye, Starbucks – it helps your chances if you’re already an addict.
Instead, the chosen coffee pioneer will spend their mornings discovering locally-owned java joints.
Be ready to document your experiment on your social networks, snapping photos of your daily cup, and comparing cost, benefits, and the unexpected consequences (no PSL for a month!) behind staying local for your caffeine fix.
At the end of the month, you’re free to go back to Starbucks – but who knows, maybe you’ll like your new routine better.
