Procurement Specialists acquire goods and/or services to fulfill specific business goals and strategies. This can mean anything from obtaining raw materials needed to produce physical products, to evaluating suppliers, interviewing vendors, and more. Constant monitoring of what a company needs, may need, and is currently involved in purchasing, is part of a procurement specialists daily tasks. A procurement manager, on the other hand, oversees the whole procurement process and directs all specialists working below her. Qualifications include strong organizational skills and a business-related bachelor’s degree.
