Pay Range: $39.33 - $45.93 per hour depending upon years of experience
Job Description:- Operates radiographic equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body, under the supervision of the Chief Technologist and/or Radiologist.
- Evaluates imaging requisitions and confirms requisition with doctor's order in patient chart.
- Checks patient's identify, as outlined by department manual, and instructs patient as to the procedure being performed to obtain their cooperation.
- Demonstrates proficiency in conducting radiological exams by producing radiographs of good technical quality.
- Ability to prioritize and identify those imaging requests, which require immediate response in the absence of the Chief Technologist.
- Produces x-ray films.
- Prepares and maintains records and files.
Requirements/Skills:- High School Diploma or GED
- Formal Radiological Technology training from an accredited school.
- Previous experience as a Radiological Technologist preferred.
- Previous experience with PACS, RIS, EMR, CR,OR,ER,DRX, CT and Meditech preferred.
- A valid NYS Radiological Technologist license required.
- Registered through A.R.R.T.
