Responsibilities

  • Operates radiographic equipment to produce quality images under supervision.

  • Demonstrates proficiency by ensuring high technical quality of radiographs.
  • Identifies and prioritizes urgent imaging requests in absence of Chief Technologist.
  • Produces x-ray films accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintains organized records and files of radiographic examinations.

Full Job Description
Type: Full-Time (75 Hours Bi-Weekly)

Shift: Days

Hours: 7:00AM - 7:30PM

Pay Range: $39.33 - $45.93 per hour depending upon years of experience

Job Description:

  • Operates radiographic equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body, under the supervision of the Chief Technologist and/or Radiologist.
  • Evaluates imaging requisitions and confirms requisition with doctor's order in patient chart.
  • Checks patient's identify, as outlined by department manual, and instructs patient as to the procedure being performed to obtain their cooperation.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in conducting radiological exams by producing radiographs of good technical quality.
  • Ability to prioritize and identify those imaging requests, which require immediate response in the absence of the Chief Technologist.
  • Produces x-ray films.
  • Prepares and maintains records and files.


Requirements/Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Previous experience as a Radiological Technologist preferred.
