Wound Care Nurse (RN) to join our team at MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital. In this role, you'll serve as a clinical resource and consultant, helping patients achieve better outcomes through expert wound care while supporting and educating our nursing team.
What You'll Do- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate wound care for patients throughout the hospital.
- Provide direct care and education to selected patients and families.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to achieve positive patient outcomes.
- Educate and develop associates in wound care best practices.
- Recommend appropriate wound care products, equipment, and treatments.
- Participate in hospital committees, projects, and quality initiatives.
Qualifications:- BSN required
- Wound care experience required.
- Graduation from an accredited Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing Education Program required or
- Satisfactory completion of program within twelve months of employment required.
- 3-4 years Progressively more responsible job-related experience required.
- Current RN license
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Passion for patient care, education, and improving outcomes.
