Job Description

The Department Manager provides leadership, critical thinking, and sound judgment to ensure compliance with laws, policies, and clinical standards. They oversee daily inpatient and outpatient operations by optimizing workflows, staffing, resources, and patient flow to support safe, timely, and cost-effective care. They lead quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance (CMS, ACHC, and organizational standards) through metric monitoring, evidence-based practice, and corrective actions. The manager maintains fiscal accountability by overseeing budgets, productivity, cost-containment, supply chain, and revenue performance. Using clinical, operational, and financial data, they guide decision-making, evaluate trends, and drive targeted improvements. They collaborate with inpatient, outpatient, and ancillary teams to ensure seamless transitions, coordinated care, and consistent clinical standards across the organization.

Qualifications

Education:
  • 2 Year/Associate Degree
  • 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

License/Certification:
  • Current OK RN
  • BLS
  • Wound Ostomy Certification (preferred)
  • Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Certification (preferred)
