Workday Domain Lead, Talent Acquisition

What is the opportunity?

We are seeking a resourceful and motivated professional to join our HR Digital Solutions team as a Workday Configuration Lead for Talent Acquisition. You will be part of a team that supports the ongoing enhancement of Workday to ensure that our Workday platform delivers a positive user experience. Working collaboratively with partners across HR, related business groups, and our Technology partners you will deliver system change items in a thoughtful, thorough, and consultative manner. The successful candidate must be able to foster positive relationships, be solution oriented and have a keen attention to detail. As a subject matter expert, you will be responsible for staying up to date with best practices and Workday enhancements and roadmap.

What will you do?
  • Contribute to the on-going design and enhancement of the HR solution in Workday to reflect RBC HR strategy and requirements
  • Engage with HR Centres of Expertise, HR Business Partners and key stakeholders to gather and document business requirements and then translate into functional specifications for Workday configuration and development
  • Coordinate testing activities
  • Identify gaps between business requirements and Workday functionality and recommend solutions
  • Provide ongoing support for Workday functionality, including troubleshooting and issue resolution
  • Stay current with Workday updates and new features and advise clients on how to take advantage of them


What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:
  • 3+ years of Workday configuration experience across one or more domains (Recruiting, Core HCM, Security etc.)
  • Workday certification in one or more modules
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to interact with business partners at all levels of the organization to collect and document business requirements
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a business or technology-related discipline or equivalent job experience


Nice-to-have:
  • Experience with operating Phenom
  • Experience in financial services industry and HR project management
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies
