Overview

Inabia is seeking an experienced Wireless Policy Engineer to design, implement, integrate, optimize, and support mobile core policy and charging platforms across 4G LTE and 5G networks. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Policy and Charging Control (PCC), Online Charging Systems (OCS), Deep Packet Inspection (DPI), and Policy Enforcement Functions (PCEF). This role requires hands-on experience in carrier-grade production environments and full lifecycle management of enterprise-grade policy platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, configure, and support wireless policy and charging solutions for LTE and 5G mobile networks.
  • Manage and maintain Amdocs (Openet) AOC/AOP Data PCRF and OCS, Nokia NPC Voice PCRF, and Sandvine AppLogic PCEF/DPI platforms for subscriber policy enforcement and traffic management.
  • Configure subscriber policies, QoS profiles, charging rules, traffic steering, and service plans.
  • Perform software upgrades, patch management, capacity planning, and platform lifecycle management.
  • Monitor system health, performance, availability, and KPI trends to ensure high service availability.
  • Troubleshoot complex platform, application, database, signaling, and network issues.
  • Collaborate closely with Core Network, IP Engineering, OSS, IT, Operations, and Vendor teams to resolve production issues.
  • Participate in integration activities involving EPC, IMS, 5GC, charging systems, billing platforms, subscriber databases, and network elements.
  • Develop automation scripts and operational procedures to improve efficiency and reduce manual activities.
  • Support disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and high-availability deployments.
  • Prepare technical documentation, implementation guides, network diagrams, and operational runbooks.
  • Participate in on-call support and maintenance activities as required.
  • Ensure platform security, compliance, and operational best practices.

Key Qualifications

  • Strong operational skills including performance monitoring, KPI analysis, log analysis, fault management, capacity planning, incident management, change management, and root cause analysis (RCA).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Policy Control Function (PCF) in 5G core networks.
  • Familiarity with Network Slicing and SBI/PFCP (5G) protocols.
  • Experience with container technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
  • Python scripting experience.
  • Experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management.
