MANTECH is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented WindowsSystem Administrator to join our team in Laurel, MD.

Become an integral part of a diverse team that delivers enterprise infrastructure capabilities for a global workforce performing a wide range of missions in defense of our Nation. It is the contract vehicle for the Enterprise Infrastructure Services organization overseeing MPO's Enterprise Information Technology (EIT). EIT is MPO's backbone- platform for all Enterprise users. Data Center & Compute Services is the EIS enabling organization working with customers, Integrated Product Teams (IPT), and vendors to deliver select EIT.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Provide Tier 1(Help Desk) and Tier 2/3 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group policy, DHCP, shared storage and databases
  • Ability to install Windows software and hardware applications; upgrade systems with new releases and models
  • Must be able to create accounts, reset passwords, and provide desktop support to customers via phone, tickets, or in-person
  • Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for the Client/Server environment
  • Provide patch management and deployment support
  • Ability to support the planning and test analysis of the DoD Certification/ Accreditation process
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule between 6:00am-6:00pm and may be assigned to an evening patching schedule


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline from an accredited college or university; an additional 5 years of relevant SA experience may be substituted for a degree
  • 15+ years' experience as a Systems Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
  • Must be proficient with troubleshooting in a Windows Server environment
  • IAT II certification (DOD 8140 required upon starting employment. Acceptable certifications include CCNA-Security, Security+, CASP etc)


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Design, deploy and administer virtualized platforms working with VMWare
  • Managing Virtual Machines on VCenter servers to include adding memory, CPUs, network and disks
  • Familiarity with JIRA ticketing system


Clearance Requirements:
  • Must have a current active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph


Physical Requirements:
  • The candidate must be able to move, carry and deliver workstations from inside the office to customer's desk. The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.


The projected compensation range for this position is $128,000.00-$214,400.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
