Job DescriptionCapgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is seeking a Windows Server Engineer to design, implement, and maintain an enterprise-grade Windows Server environment. You will be the primary authority on all things' Windows server. Your mission is to minimize downtime and ensure that the on-premises "private cloud" delivers the same reliability as public cloud offerings.
Job Responsibilities:- Design and deploy Windows Server instances on physical hardware and VMware virtualization platforms.
- Administer enterprise-level DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (IP Address Management) to ensure reliable network connectivity.
- Implement security baselines (STIGs/CIS), manage WSUS for centralized patching, and ensure SOC 2 or internal audit compliance.
- Manage on-premises backup solutions and execute regular restoration drills to ensure "Zero Data Loss."
- Coordinate with vendors for physical server repairs, firmware updates, and data center capacity planning (power/cooling).
- Monitor system health (CPU, Memory, Disk I/O) and optimize server configurations for specific roles like File/Print, SQL, or IIS.
Required Qualifications:- Minimum of four (4) years in systems engineering with a heavy focus on on-premises data centers.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related field.
- Deep knowledge of Windows Server Core and Desktop Experience versions.
- Solid understanding of VLANs, subnetting, load balancing, and firewall rules within a local data center context.
- Proficiency in PowerShell for bulk administration and task automation.
- Active Secret clearance required.
- Security+ CE desired.
- Hybrid position at San Antonio, Taxes.

At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $100-120K.
