Step Into Your New Role

 

We are seeking a Senior Water and Wastewater Project and Client Account Manager to join our New England Water Team. The ideal candidate will thrive as a vital part of a resourceful and collaborative water team. They will have a commitment to client service, innovation, and excellence, while appreciating the growth opportunities and investment we make in our people.  

 

The primary function will be to assist our New England Water team identify, position, propose, and win targeted new business pursuits, ultimately win clients' preference, and act as a Principal in Charge / Project Manager through project execution. The candidate will nurture and grow client relationships and manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects in the water/wastewater market.

 

The candidate must have strong communication skills, engineering, design and construction experience, and a history of effective project delivery and client account management in the municipal water and wastewater engineering field.  Candidate must have demonstrated experience of providing project and client leadership and direction to project teams. Candidates must possess excellent organizational, communication and technical writing skills. 

 

This position can be based Worcester, Massachusetts or Portland, Maine. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead major proposal efforts, develop client/project capture plans. Participate in project scoping activities and proposal presentations.
  • Manage projects, present at technical conferences and engage in technical committees.
  • Mentor staff and grow the team and work portfolio.
  • Build strong relationships and interact regularly with key clients, teaming partners, industry groups and stakeholders linked to the market.
  • Continuously interact with clients assuring satisfaction with Company services and work closely with project delivery personnel to ensure any service issues are identified and addressed in a proactive manner
  • Reinforce collaboration and team building, ensure client focus, demonstrate commitment to excellence and innovation, and motivate others to ensure positive morale and engagement
  • Provide input on business development priorities, budget and expenditures for the water team.
  • Negotiate favorable contract terms and conditions and achieve cost of sales, gross margin, backlog, and other related financial and business goals.
  • Support the identification and mitigation of risks and commercial terms during the project lifecycle.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience: 10+ years of professional and project management experience in consulting engineering firm or related service
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering or related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Professional registration (PE).
  • Proven business development and project management experience in water/wastewater infrastructure with design consulting firms.
  • Business acumen related to project management, portfolio financials and risk management.
  • Understanding of sales pipeline metrics backlog growth.

 

Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Wage Transparency Law.  Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.  Salary range: $116,000.00- $197,000.00
