  • Inspect and maintain life safety equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance on wastewater treatment equipment
  • Participate in the start-up of a new wastewater facility

Job Description

What will you do?

Key areas include:

  • Management of water resources and disposition including;

Water allocation permits are properly maintained.

Assuring the wastewater treatment facility is properly functioning as necessary to meet SPDES (State Pollution Discharge and Elimination System) permit limits and that required sampling, testing and reporting are performed in accordance with SPDES permit requirements.

Management of stormwater inspections, sampling and reporting required in accordance with the SPDES permit

  • Work closely with Maintenance, Engineering and Operations on special projects, construction and other non-recurrent tasks which impact wastewater management.
  • Maintain and conduct inspection on all life safety equipment
  • Conduct Preventative Maintenance on wastewater treatment system equipment
  • Be an active member of the team to start-up our new wastewater facility
  • Assist other regulatory requirements such as air permits



REQUIREMENTS:

Education
High School Diploma

Experience

  • NYS Grade 2 or higher preferred but will consider Grade 1 licensee with relevant experience to work under current chief operator with goal of earning Grade 2 license.
  • 2+ years managing wastewater treatment facility
  • PC skills with proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Obtain solutions through independent analysis.
  • Good technical and project management skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects and daily responsibilities.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Normally receives no instruction on routine work and general instructions on new assignments.
  • Physical demand lifting 50 pounds and being able to move 55-gallon drums with drum carts.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $75,800.00–$101,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
