Hiring Now - Immediate need for new Manufacturing Team Member

American Building Supply (ABS), a subsidiary of Jeld Wen, and one of the nation's largest suppliers of Doors, Door Hardware, Windows, and Millwork, currently has a position available for a Warehouse Supervisor to assist our Distribution Divisions in providing value-added goods and services to our customers.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high quality standards
  • Inspect incoming loads
  • Maintain facility housekeeping standards
  • Use a forklift to load trucks
  • Attention to detail on all paperwork and documentation
  • Consistently adhere to safe work practices
  • Determine disposition of returned products from previous day's deliveries. Record returns in return product recap report
  • Schedule the daily duties of the shipping crew including the coordination of loading, associated paperwork and routing of products for daily deliveries
  • Verify order paperwork to piece counts of daily loads and perform quality control checks of product before loading
  • Transpose daily piece counts into productivity report database
  • Research missing product to determine its whereabouts and/or work with Production Manager to determine if production was completed
  • Verify that loads are complete and properly loaded for next day's delivery
  • Serve as liaison between the warehouse and the sales department to troubleshoot missing product and/or the status of product scheduled for delivery
  • Serve as liaison between the warehouse and the accounting department to verify disposition of outstanding invoices and billing discrepancies
  • Prepare warehouse for and conduct weekly inventory cycle counts
  • Train new staff and existing staff as required
  • Evaluate, coach and/or discipline staff as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and write English.
  • 3-5 years warehouse experience preferably in a supervisory capacity.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Experience with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite of Products


Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required.

Expected pay for this role is between $66 800,00 to $111 400,00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.
